Train Berlin - Kaliningrad is available again |
From the 30th of May 2010 onwards the train connection between Berlin and Kaliningrad will be reinstated.
Since December 2009 there were no trains coming to Kaliningrad from Europe as the Polish Railways cancelled the train Warsaw - Berlin.
Now, as it's stated by the information agency of Russia RIA Novosti, train Berlin - Kaliningrad will be running again using the same route - via Gdansk in Poland.
Unfortunately, as the representative of the Kaliningrad Railways explained, the train connection is renewed only for the summer period, until the 3rd of October 2010. Still, it's a great oppurtunity to visit Kaliningrad by comfortable overnight train and have a good experience of Russian language immersion!
