You may well travel to Kaliningrad by plane. There are planes to Kaliningrad both from International and Russian airports.

There are many flights to Kaliningrad from many cities of Europe, Asia and Russian Federation.

Direct international flights to Kaliningrad are operated by two companies - LOT (Warsaw, Polish airlines) and AirBaltic (Riga, Latvian Airlines). Another option to skip Russian capitals is to take a flight from your city to Gdansk. From there you can take either a bus, train or taxi to reach Kaliningrad in four hours (we will advise you on the schedule).

 

LOT operates daily flights from Warsaw to Kaliningrad and back. There is one flight a day following each direction (Warsaw - Kaliningrad and Kaliningrad - Warsaw)

Other Airports
Khrabrovo is the only airport operating civil domestic and international flights in Kaliningrad region. However, there are other airports relatively close to Kaliningrad where you can also fly to. Among them are:
Lech Wałęsa airport in Gdansk (about 160 km from Kaliningrad)
Palanga Airport (25 km from Klaipeda and about 150 km from Kaliningrad)
Chopin Airport in Warsaw (about 350km from Kaliningrad) 
These airports are operating many daily flights from different cities inside and outside of Europe. After arriving to one of them, you can take bus, train or taxi or to finally reach Kaliningrad.

Low-Budget Airlines

You can fly with one of the low-budget airlines to Gdansk or Warsaw, Poland. Please check whichbudget.com for cheap airfares.

You will be able to get from Gdansk to Kaliningrad by train, bus or taxi and from Warsaw to Kaliningrad by bus or taxi. We will help you to choose the right bus or train from those cities.

Please note: it is is very convenient to come to Kaliningrad with your friends. You can fly to Gdansk or Warsaw and take one taxi for all of you from those cities.
